It's the Thought That Counts

What do you give to the person who has everything?

Most of us take the easy way out by buying gift cards. That might work for the affluent on our lists but what about the One who truly owns everything?

“The heavens are Yours, the earth also is Yours;
The world and all that is in it, You have founded and established them (Psalm 89:11 AMP).”

Mary, and husband Joseph, gave Jesus the gift of protection. Simple shepherds gave Him adoration; while wise men gave gifts worthy of the King of the Jews.

What would YOU give?

The Lord owns the world; its inhabitants and all it contains.

“The earth is the Lord’s, and the fullness of it,
The world, and those who dwell in it (Psalm 24:1 AMP).”

It’s the thought that counts!

Think surrender...."Therefore I urge you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies [dedicating all of yourselves, set apart] as a living sacrifice, holy and well-pleasing to God, which is your rational (logical, intelligent) act of worship (Romans 12:1 AMP)."

Aim to please; present your life in sacrificial service to Jesus the LORD.

“Be devoted to one another with [authentic] brotherly affection [as members of one family], give preference to one another in honor;  never lagging behind in diligence; aglow in the Spirit, enthusiastically serving the Lord; constantly rejoicing in hope [because of our confidence in Christ], steadfast and patient in distress, devoted to prayer [continually seeking wisdom, guidance, and strength], contributing to the needs of God’s people, pursuing [the practice of] hospitality (Romans 1:10-13 AMP).”
