We look forward to the arrival of colorful leaves with the changing of the seasons. Special excursions are offered to tourists for a chance to see a variety of trees in the peak of season.

The New England States may hold the most beautiful in our nation. Autumn tourists expect to see the brightest leaves as colors peak but shouldn’t overlook the few straggler leaves; some might be clinging to branches as the end of fall nears.

These few stubborn leaves have stayed connected through winds and rain. Yet, they eventually give way to approaching winter. This year’s leaves will fade and leave their trees. Jesus is the vine; we are the branches. We must cling to Him.

“I am the vine, you are the branches; the one who remains in Me, and I in him bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing (John 15:5 NASB).”

Jesus will never leave His followers; we don’t walk alone.

“And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to follow all that I commanded you; and behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age (Matthew 28:18-20 NASB).”

I will cling!
