Where Would You Go?

Where would you go if you died tonight?
That was the question a teenage Christian girl asked Lily as she more or less got pushed out of her door.
In a small Welsh town back in the mid-20th century, Lily’s life had been ‘normal’, with no time for religion. In her mid-thirties, with her husband and their children they got on OK together.
However, as soon as the door slammed shut, the girl’s question suddenly got very big. Lily had never been bothered with any such things before. Now she felt trapped.
“Where would you go?” the girl had asked.
That evening, Lily struggled with the reality of life after death like she’d never experienced before. Wonderfully, the Holy Spirit worked in her and brought her to the foot of Jesus’ cross and she was born again! Glorious.
From that time on, Lily became a strong Christian and bore a clear testimony in her little home town. When we got to know her many years later, she would not compromise her faith and beliefs in any way whatsoever.
She wrote her testimony for me to print out for her to give to folk.
She insisted I print it in red letters to emphasise the blood of Jesus!
And she had a lovely name - Lily Rainbow!
Praise the Lord!
