Why Me? Part One

When what we see as a good thing taking place, we usually don’t raise too many questions about the source or the reason(s) for it. But when adversity strikes, we ask why, and for what reason has this come to ME.

God is the sovereign Ruler of both Heaven and Earth. He has full knowledge of all past, present, and future events. Nothing ever has taken place, is now taking place, or ever will take place without having either come directly from His hand or with His consent.

God is the Creator of everything that ever was, is now, or ever will be, but this does not mean that every thing He created will remain the same.

The devil, was created as a guardian cherub who, prior to a failed rebellion, served in the throne room of God (1).

All angels were created by God to worship and serve Him, but many chose to follow the devil and became what we now know as fallen angels.

Man was created to worship and to serve God in a perfect environment, but chose to sin and became what we now know as Fallen Man.

The Earth, whose creation that was recorded in Gen. 1: 1, became formless and void at the end of phase one of the angelic conflict. The existing Earth had to be restored for its next inhabitants (Man) in this ongoing battle in the spiritual realm. This present Earth has an appointed melt down (2) date, after which, it will be replaced (3).

Human reasoning has a great difficulty understanding God when He doesn’t act or respond in the way(s) we expect, especially in light of all the evil that He allows to take place throughout the course of human history.

For the unedified believer, the prosperity of the wicked (4) is especially troubling, and a major hurdle to be overcome along the road to spiritual maturity.

Throughout the course of human history, God has a GENERAL plan and an INDIVIDUAL plan for each and every soul that He creates.

Human beings reproduce human bodies, but it is God that creates and places the soul in the body (5). It was God who chose when and where you, as an individual, would enter and depart this world along the timeline of human history.

Human history is currently in the dispensation of the Church Age. The Church Age began at the Feast of Pentecost in 33/34 AD. It will come to its prophesied end (6) at the Rapture (7), bringing together the departed Church Age believers in Heaven, and the Church Age believers who are alive on the Earth when the Rapture takes place.

The general plan for the Church Age (8) calls for the preservation and the proclamation of the unadulterated Gospel Message for salvation, and accurate Bible Doctrine for the development of post salvation discipleship.

The individual plan of the Church Age calls for each individual soul to be born-again, by believing (9), when presented with the unadulterated Gospel Message.

The “unadulterated” Gospel Message has had NOTHING added to it, as the means to be saved and to receive eternal life. NOTHING includes the religious traditions of men. As was foretold, compromised gospels and traditions of men have plagued the Christian Community since the very beginning, and will only get worse as the end nears (10).

The battle to preserve and to promote the unadulterated Gospel Message has been and will remain to be the primary bone of contention between the forces of good and evil.

Once (if) born again, the plan of God calls for the individual believer to embrace post (after) salvation, Biblical discipleship. The quality of one’s post salvation spiritual life does not improve or diminish the integrity of the salvation that the born-again believer has already secured.

Biblical discipleship is initially for the development of an edified soul structure (11) in the post salvation spiritual life of an already, heaven-bound, born-again believer.

To the extent that an advancing disciple grows (12) in the knowledge and in the application (13) of the Word of God, he or she glorifies God.

The long-term objective of Biblical discipleship is for the advancing disciple to participate in the Great Commission, being used by God to evangelize and to edify the people within his or her personal periphery.

God desires to reach out to unbelievers everywhere, with the unadulterated Gospel Message to save their souls. God desires to reach out to believers everywhere, with edifying post salvation Biblical doctrine.

God is just as concerned for the spiritual well-being of the homeless souls gathered around a barrel-fire for heat, as He is for the ones living in the lap of luxury, seated on board of directors, or is positions of secular leadership.

God place His advancing disciples in the every place and circumstances where the unbelievers (in need of salvation) and believers (in need of edification) are to be found.

This encompasses virtually every walk of life and circumstances known to Man.
