Cries of a Little Girl
In the middle of the night a little girl cries,
There is no one she can turn to, no one to dry her eyes.
Year after year she’s tempted to cry out,
But the perpetrator tells her everyone will doubt.
When teenage years set in, she felt all alone,
She kept to herself and wished away her home.
There was no joy for her life, there was nothing to be gained,
Because her childhood and future had already been stained.
She became a woman and met a man,
But he was not gentle and the nightmare began.
Again, she cried herself to sleep and wanted to escape,
But all she could do, was turn to God and pray.
“When you thought you were alone, I was there by your side
and every time you cried, I was there to dry your eyes.
You did nothing to deserve this, so do not take the blame
Your future is in my hands and your pain I will erase.”

What a truth in this lost world but what a hope when we put it ALL in HIS hands Thank you for sharing GODSPEED deena
Valerie, what a heartbreaking poem, but praise God that wonderful truth at the end gave hope. May God use this to give hope and shine His light to someone who has experienced the same as this "little girl". With love, Deb
