colours bleeding and interweaving,
contrasting hues emerging
intimate connections, never fading.

Shadow reflections are passing
lightened by, acceptance brush strokes
rustic earthy tones embracing
in kindness breath, true beauty soaks.

Tears blend colours in different shades
bringing depth and vision to the fore,
laughter’s dance touches and enhances
a beautiful portrait to explore.

Grey and bright live in unison
scarlet blood shed, its declaration
scars creating such rich highlights
broken landscapes fresh transformation.

Nailed to a rugged cross
a portrait of love for all to see,
not framed by shallow feelings
but by His grace, amidst our debris.
