Only A Child Would Ask.

Mommy, when can I see heaven? Little Derek asked his mom.

Well Derek when you die? Why do you ask? she asked surprised.

Oh, I just want to see Jesus, that's all, he smiled.

We will see him at death or when he returns, she replied.

Now go wash your hands for dinner, she instructed.

Yes, ma'am, he said.

I returned to serving dinner as I thought of Derek's most unexpected

question. A question that I suppose only a child would ask. It would

be quite beneficial if we "adults" would think more on heaven, then

on earth.

As the night drew on I couldn't help to rethink what my son

asked. If I were honest with myself I would have to ask how often

do I think of heaven, and its importance to me? After all, Jesus died so

I might live with him in eternity.

The world would be a much better place if we could do as the Bible

says. Imitating Colossians 3:2-6
