CHOOSE PEACE!
We really gain nothing, but lose everything arguing! We lose respect, time, people, focus, anointing etc. Avoid arguing, contention, criticizing etc.
It could be extremely gratifying, satisfying & pacifying to win arguments, but terribly, ultimately devastating to lose many precious relationships! Yes, they are at fault, but you are a Christian, a new creature. That makes all the difference! Follow peace with all men as much as possible. Jesus Christ is the Prince of Peace.
James 3:13-18
If you are wise and understand God’s ways, prove it by living an honorable life, doing good works with the humility that comes from wisdom. But if you are bitterly jealous and there is selfish ambition in your heart, don’t cover up the truth with boasting and lying. For jealousy and selfishness are not God’s kind of wisdom. Such things are earthly, unspiritual, and demonic. For wherever there is jealousy and selfish ambition, there you will find disorder and evil of every kind.
But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and the fruit of good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere. And those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of righteousness.
As long as our focus is on others and what they did to us, we won't be able to comprehend and appreciate what God is doing in our lives right now leading to a glorious and a wonderful destiny. We must forgive, die to our pride, excuses and self justification, press for, pursue peace and reconciliation in order to be free, blessed and then advance in God.
God's hand is upon your life in a mighty way. Now, that calls for deeper humility, wholehearted dedication and a more disciplined, fervent prayer life, backed up with prompt and absolute obedience to the voice, Word and urgings/promptings of the Holy Spirit. Hesitation and disobedience usually delay and eventually abort our great, glorious destinies!
The Holy Spirit is in you to help you ALWAYS. Choose peace in all you do, that's the best choice. Hallelujah!
