Romans 13:11 (KJV) And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.

The thought that I would like to leave with you is Time is almost up. Amen, time is almost up.

Time is defined as the indefinite continued progress of existence and events in the past, present, and future regarded as a whole.

Time is in the control of God Almighty. He gives us time to live and time to die.

Apostle Paul was talking to the Roman Christians, admonishing them to awake out of spiritual slumber and sin and to live for God because salvation is at hand.

Throughout the course of life, God allows us to live life on our own terms. In other words, he gives us free will. He gives us an option to choose him or the devil.

The majority of our lives, we chose the devil indirectly. God is such a gracious God because even though we choose not to serve him, he gives us a span of approximately 70 to 80 or so years hoping that we choose him before the end of our time.

Throughout all the riotous living of our lives, God has kept his hand on us still. Many of us have abused our bodies with various drugs and alcohol. Yet, God has been merciful. If you would take a look over your life and see how God has given you such amazing grace, you'll understand that you owe your life to God.

Even if you've never gotten involved with drugs, alcohol, sex or dangerous living, you still owe your life to God because you still need to be saved to go to heaven.

It is a blessing that man is not under the law but under grace. However, man is abusing the grace that God has given him. Even though scriptures say his grace and mercies, endureth forever, there is coming a time where grace and mercy will come to an end.

As the human family, we are born to live and then die. After we die, we must go before the judgment seat of God. Hebrews 9:27 says it is appointed once unto men to die and after this the judgment.

The thing about time is that it waits for no one. I've learned that the more time you waste, the less time you have. Time is not on your side the way you think it is.

The world is coming to an end, and it's ending fast. Although the world is ending fast, there is still something in man that makes him think he has time before surrendering his life to God.

The devil has deceived man into thinking that sin is too pleasurable to give up. So one drink equals one more drink. One more puff equals one more puff. One more sexposide equals one more sexposide. Sin is never satisfied. The more you practice it, the more you want it.

Sin is not as pleasurable as one thinks. Every time I engaged in sin, it either left me with a headache or a hangover. On the opposite side of pleasure is pain and consequences.

Time is almost up. Aren't you tired of getting high or getting drunk? Aren't you tired of having all the unmarried, unsafe sex?

It's high time to live for Jesus. Your body belongs to God. The longer you stay with the devil, the harder it is to come to God. You're either with God or the devil. There is no in-between.

There is a popular belief that God will overlook man's sin and allow him to enter into heaven, but that's not scriptural. Flesh and blood cannot enter into the kingdom of heaven. You must be born again of the water and of the Spirit.

Jesus Christ died on the cross and rose the third day so that you could have a right to the tree of life. God is not willing that man perish, but receive the gift of life through Jesus Christ.

The devil desires that you perish and that you perish unto eternal damnation. The truth of the matter is that God doesn't send us to hell. We send our ownselves there.

So time is almost up. The longer we stay in sin and partake of the things of the world, we expose ourselves to hell fire with each passing day.

Although God allows us to live our lives on our terms, truthfully, our lives are not our own. Furthermore, our time is really not our time. We are actually living on borrowed time. Borrowed time in a borrowed body.

I believe God marvels at how man can come to church, hear the message of repentance, and still reject the call to salvation. knowing that the only time man can receive salvation is on this side of heaven. How long, Ole man, how long.

Romans 13:11 says: And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.

Although Apostle Paul was talking to the Roman church, I believe those who are not a part of the body of Christ yet can appreciate the scripture. Salvation is nearer than you believe.

Hebrews 2:3-4 (KJV) How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;
God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?

As born again believers in Jesus Christ, we are escaping the wrath of God that shall be released upon the earth on those who reject so great Salvation. Time is almost up. All you have to do is discern the signs of the times.

The prophet Isaiah says this in Isaiah 55:6-7: Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. Amen.
