The personhood of the Lord Jesus Christ identifies Him as the incarnated God the Son (1) one of three Members of the Triune Godhead.

As God the Son, He always been in existence. He became the “Person” of the Lord (deity) Jesus (humanity) Christ (anointed) at the First Advent.

At the First Advent, God the Son took on (2) the type of humanity (3) that Adam had before the Fall of Man. With that sinless humanity, God the Son become the Lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world (4).

Note that the “beginning” spoken of in Genesis 1: 1 and John 1: 1 was NOT the start of eternity, as eternity never had a beginning and will never have an end.

The beginning spoken of in Gen. 1: 1 refers to the start of specific events that are connected to an ongoing conflict in the spiritual realm, calling for the creation and entry into the conflict by the human race.

The beginning spoken of in John 1: 1 refers to the start of events when the plan of God called for the incarnation of God the Son in order for Him to become the Lamb of God that paid in full, the sin debt for the entire human race.

One receives the benefits (e.g. eternal life) of the atoning work of the Lord Jesus Christ the moment he or she is born-again.

Apostasy raises doubts.

The salvation of a born-again believer’s soul IS eternally (forever) secure (5) as of the moment that he or she is born again, but his or her edification and conforming to the likeness of Christ (6) in one’s thoughts, words, and actions will be a life-long process.

The last prophetic messages recorded in Scripture are found in the Book of Revelation, composed in 96 AD. From that point forward, New Testament “prophets” continue to be are spokespersons for God, but speak of Biblical prophecies that have already been made and that have already been recorded in Scripture.

The Biblical record of the detailed prophecies that have already been fulfilled provide advancing disciples with every reason to anticipate the fulfillment of the ones that remain.

For example, the 22nd Psalm was written about 1000 years before the crucifixion took place, but foretold of many details that hat would (and did) take place when the appointed time came.

The good news that the Church was commissioned (7) to proclaim is just as good and uplifting today as it was then. There are many divine blessings to be spoken of that every born again believer receives at the moment of salvation and or over the course of his or post (after) salvation spiritual life, here on Earth.

Some of these benefits, such as a born again soul (8) and a regenerated spirit (9) are retained and are taken with the saved soul into Eternity.

In addition to the Good News of the unadulterated Gospel Message, the post salvation life of discipleship that the Church was commissioned to promote in 33/34 AD is just as important now, as it was then.

While the quality of one’s post salvation spiritual life has got NOTHING to do with the retaining the gift of eternal life, it has got everything to do with glorifying God.

Glorifying God, especially in the midst of spiritual combat, was the reason that God created Man.

Jesus did not come to bring interpersonal (10( or international (11) peace to planet Earth at the First Advent.

We should strive to live at peace with one another (12) on the personal and national level, but there is a time for peace and a time for war (13).

The “peace on Earth” that was announced by the Christmas angel refers to peace between God and the ones who would choose to respond to the unadulterated Gospel Message (14).

Never-the-less, the post salvation life of Biblical discipleship is one of internal conflict between the old sin nature (15) and the new creation (16) that one becomes the moment he or she is born again.

There will be an ongoing conflict as so long as one continues to grow in the knowledge of the Lord (17) and continues to be confirmed to the likeness of Christ in thought, word, and deed (18).

Being born again is a one-time event.

Discipleship is an ongoing process.

Maximum satanic attention takes place when a born-again believer advances in discipleship and participated in the Great Commission.

Paul spoke of his personal experience of this ongoing conflict in his letter to the Romans, nearly thirty years AFTER he was born again and towards the end of his appointed time, here on Earth.

In addition to this internal conflict, the post salvation life of Biblical discipleship is one of an external conflict between the advancing disciple and the Matt. 7 majority of worldly-minded people with whom he or she interacts with on a regular basis.

In many cases, this will include many with whom we share the pews in a local assembly. The present-day prophets (spokespersons for God) in this period of great apostasy do a disservice to prospective and current members of the Christian Community if they only speak of the upside of the Christian experience and do not warn them of the consequences associated with apostasy.

Engaging in religious activities does NOT necessarily mean one has been born-again.

Should the Rapture take place in the middle of a worship service, there will be many left behind sitting in the pews or standing behind the pulpits.

“Many will say to Me on that day, “Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?” And I will declare to them, “I never knew you… (Matt. 7: 22, 24 NASB 2020).”

The promotion of false gods and false religion through false prophets is to distract unsaved souls OUTISDE of the Christian Community from listening and responding to the call of salvation being made by the one true God.

This distraction has the reinforcement of familial and cultural traditions and expectation.

For those who overcome this diabolical distraction, the objective of the false prophets is to distract those who are INSIDE of the Christian Community from identifying and executing the post salvation spiritual life of Biblical discipleship.

In closing, consider one more “indicator” of a false prophet that Jesus mentioned.

Such false prophets will quote just enough Scripture to generate an appearance of godliness, but their lifestyle and daily choices promote the devil’s agenda.

“Beware of the FALSE PROPHETS, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits…(Matt. 7:15, 16 NASB2020).”
