“Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Brother, let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when you yourself fail to see the plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.” Luke 6:41-42 NIV

Does it seem like hatred and disrespect, lack of love and compassion are ever increasing as we move through time? There certainly is evil in this world that needs to be addressed. Yet, what each of us must do first is look inside ourselves and deal with that which is not of God. We can work on ourselves at the same time that we deal with issues of this world. We must not lose sight of the fact though that without Christ we are flawed. Condemn action which is evil, yet, have love and compassion for the sinner. Let Christ live within you and guide you through the Holy Spirit.
