‘You’re on Candid Camera!’

The popular TV program caught people by surprise (and maybe embarrassment). Hidden cameras captured unscripted reactions of those involved in pranks. Maybe you recall one or two. I definitely had a favorite. The victims approached clearly marked men’s and women’s restrooms. There appeared to be nothing irregular. Once inside, they found people lounging and resting. Reactions were hilarious.

Businesses are now hiding cameras to prevent theft and homeowners use them for protection. Is that legal? Apparently; law officers often hide with radar cameras to catch speeding drivers. Most of us don’t notice cameras at highway intersections but we’re aware that they’re there. Speeding? ‘Smile; you’re on candid camera.’

You’re always in God’s view.

“The eyes of the Lord are in every place,
Watching the evil and the good (Proverbs 15:3 NASB).”

It’s senseless to think you can hide from God; no one can.

“And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him to whom we must answer (Hebrews 4:13 NASB).”
