Dear Old Friend

This is an ode to a dear old friend,
one I met and bonded with.
She’s waiting you know
for someone to show,
It’s time you see for her to go Home.

Time is no more but, dials and whirrs
She’s no longer concerned of the outside world
As she lays sleeping pondering her end
she is waiting to see her dear old friend.

I look at the sky
and see the clouds form
tonight won’t be easy,
there's going to be a storm.

Yes the storm is coming
and the thunder will be heard
The rain will start falling
and so will my heart
This lady has been on
this earth a very long time
She has seen many wars,
and has seen much strife

But a while ago she
knew things were changing
You see God began to call
her name when she was dreaming
She knew soon that it
would soon be time to leave,
But not before she saw
her dear old friend…me
