Understanding
Why this life I live is so
Demanding

A Really Hard Time
Hard Time

Life should be easy, not complicated
Life should be fun, not aggravated

Life should bring joy, not all the sadness
Life should be light, not all the darkness

Life should be seen as a true miracle
Not as a time so hysterical

That is why I have a hard time understanding
Why this life is so demanding
Why it takes its toll
On the things of which we have not control

Life should be filled with love, not all the hate
Life should be sure, not open for debate

Life should bring freedom, not bondage to lies
Life should bring laughter, not a time to cry

Life should be filled with peace
Fears should cease

That is why I have a hard time understanding
Why this life is so demanding
Why it takes its toll
On the things of which we have not control

Life should be full of beauty so divine
Not as a time of walking the daily line

Life should be centered on things sight unseen
Not on things as the way they seldom seem

That is why I have a hard time understanding
Why this life is so demanding
Why it takes its toll
On the things of which we have not control

On the things we have no control
It’s time to let go
