The Word for Writers
Yes, we are a royal priesthood, kings and priests unto our God, but oh, that we as kings would first rule over ourselves effectively, and that we as priests would first pray for our own families and teach them the ways of God, and give daily thanks for them, lest we become like Eli, who lost control over Hophni and Phineas or Aaron who failed to train Nadab and Abihu, and both suffered the tragic consequences. Each of us is one of a kind and if one fails to be his or herself, then the Kingdom of God will suffer for it, (not to mention ourselves missing our purpose and calling) being denied that unique expression and contribution that each can bring. We are each most ourselves when we are most like Christ. It has been said that a sense of purpose causes us to live longer, and a sense of inner peace causes us to live better, our consciences being purified from the dead works of yesterday to serve the living God today, with hearts and minds opened to new possibilities. When we think with the mind and attitude of Christ we see everything and everyone in a different light, and act accordingly, because Christ IS the light of the 🌎 world.
