   God intends for us to live out of "overflow mode " and has provided abundant life in order for us to do so. The only way to be available to minister effectively to others in need is out of the overflow of His grace in our lives. If we are continually in "survival mode "  we can only look out for ourselves and fend for ourselves and nothing beyond that.  
  We may be even looking out for ourselves by moving in the right direction, walking away from a besetting sin, and yet still have that particular sin catch up with us and recapture us,  because we aren't moving fast enough!  That is why Paul tells Timothy to RUN from temptation. (2 Timothy 2 v22) And because this is so important a verse, I believe the Holy Spirit sought to make it easier for us to remember,  by putting it all in a series of twos in holy Scripture.
