"The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts." Psalm 10:4.

Daily meditation is not a duty of the wicked. He is so occupied with pride that he has no provision for his Creator in his heart. The wicked does not seek God. How can he seek Him whom he does not know? How can he seek Him with whom he has no relationship? There is no need for him to do that because he is consumed by his arrogance.

What happens to someone who claims to have known God and have a relationship with Him who does not think about or talk with Him? Is there no need for communication between him and his God? When a Believer fails to engage in conversation with his Creator, is he not a companion of the wicked who has no God in his heart?

A young man many years ago had a sharp disagreement with his father and chose to avoid his father for a few days. The loving father went to the door of his room to find out by that time, he was not at home. He went to the mother to ask if she had seen him for the past three days. The mother answered positively.

The father was not happy because he could not communicate with his lone son.

Do you know that the Scriptures are right to say, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hears my voice, and open the door, I will come into him and will sup with him, and he with me. Revelation 3:20.

The Lord always waits to have a communication with His child. Should he not be available?

This is the foundation of meditation. The Lord our God is ever prepared to hear His child and to talk with him, alone. It should not only be alone but in quietness. Distraction is not a friend of meditation, so it must be avoided by all means to have a successful meditation. That is why the Holy Bible reveals a practical example in the life of Isaac, the promised son of Abraham,
"And Isaac went out to meditate in the field at the eventide: and he lifted his eyes, and saw, and, behold, the camels were coming." Genesis 24:63.

Quietness is required to hear "the still small voice"(1 Kings19:12). That is why "Quiet Time" is a term that is sometimes used to replace "Daily Meditation". Isaac went to the field alone in the evening of the day in a serene environment to meditate.

Beloved, must you be excluded from this spiritual exercise? No! Your Heavenly Father wants to hear the voice of your heart and wants to speak to it. May the Lord give you the grace to be active in your Daily Meditation in Jesus' mighty name.
