You saved trashes from the pit of the fire
Never picture you as a pretty little liar
They worship you like you are their saviour
Not knowing you were preparing to devour

You taught me how you wanted it cook
But never really left me off the hook
No matter how I toss and turn
I always ended up getting burned

You gathered them round the pit
Coated in your sugar lies
Some of them will end up in the fire
The rest will melt in the heat
They see you with rose-tinted eyes
But I can see your greed seeking desire
Now their eyes are hollow
This is what they get for blindly follow
Now there is no need to put up a show
Looking through your tattered window
The pride you had to swallow
All is left is burned marshmallow

You wanted me to do your bidding
But who were you kidding
When the beans are scattered and the tea is spilled
Be prepared to be set back on your heels

Now we are once again at the pit
Dissolving all your sugar lies
You threw me into the fire
I almost couldn’t take the heat
Burning flames through my eyes
Escape was my only desire
Now my soul is hollow
The same fury to those who follow
Time to put on a show
Look into my fury blazing window
The fear you had to swallow
When all I left you were burned marshmallow

You wanted it all
But was it worth it?
You made the wrong call
Do you regret it?
Someone took the fall
You don’t even see it
Now you pay the price of losing it all
Where once there was a soul
Now all is left is cold

Back again to the fiery pit
With ammunition-loaded lies
You saved them from their self-destructing fire
To only block you from the heat
Not knowing there were watchful eyes
Survival is my only desire
Vacant seats left till hollow
There is a price for those who follow
Nobody turning up to your show
Ashes filled your blackened window
Now all you left to swallow
Is a mouthful of burned marshmallow
