If the message we carry was only that someone had once lived a perfect life somehow and died, it would be a very imperfect message. If we could not add that the perfect life had led to a perfect sacrifice on our behalf, the death being the perfect sacrifice, and that the evidence that the sacrifice was acceptable was that the perfect one was resurrected from the dead, if we could not add that part, then the message would be useless and incomplete. That is what gives the message its meaning and significance, and what gives our lives meaning and significance also as messengers.
