WHAT AN INTRODUCTION!!!
Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see— such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him. He existed before anything else, and he holds all creation together. Christ is also the head of the church, which is his body. He is the beginning, supreme over all who rise from the dead. So he is first in everything. For God in all his fullness was pleased to live in Christ, and through him God reconciled everything to himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ’s blood on the cross.
This includes you who were once far away from God. You were his enemies, separated from him by your evil thoughts and actions. Yet now he has reconciled you to himself through the death of Christ in his physical body. As a result, he has brought you into his own presence, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault. But you must continue to believe this truth and stand firmly in it. Don’t drift away from the assurance you received when you heard the Good News. The Good News has been preached all over the world, and I, Paul, have been appointed as God’s servant to proclaim it.
Colossians 1:15-23.
When God created man (Adam and Eve), He had no problems at all having fellowship with them. That was the primary reason He created them. This was also one of the main reasons He created Adam and Even, for them to have fellowship with each other, and for companionship. Genesis 2:18; Genesis 3:8,9.
After the fall, man lost his spiritual sensitivity and capacity to walk by faith. He wanted to worship the awesome God he had fellowship with continually in the garden. Unfortunately, man was now spiritually dead. He has lost the capacity to fully discern, perceive, and receive any further communications and visitations from God.
Sin had perverted, contaminated, and twisted his heart desires.
Man's depraved heart now longed to worship only what he could see, feel, and touch even if it was dead! Idolatry in all it's ramification became the inevitable outcome! By this time man had gone too far, arousing God's anger and jealousy beyond limits!
The nation of Israel struggled with idolatry continually, imitating the heathen nations. But the love of God for man designed a permanent solution. God has to become visible to heal and help man's inability to walk by absolute faith! "Christ is the visible image of the invisible God" Colossians 1:15; 1Peter 1:18-25. What a mighty , merciful, and compassionate God we serve! This is a very great divine mystery.
Jesus Christ is the visible Jehovah. The way, the truth, and the life of the invisible Jehovah. Jn.14:6. In Christ Jesus our elder brother, physical, visible man has been granted the capacity to become sons and daughters of the invisible God! John 1:12,13; John 3:16-18; Romans 10:9,10.
Finally, by the death of Jesus Christ, the visible God on the cross, we have unhindered access to the very presence of the invisible God. This is possible because Christ's shed blood, death on the cross, and powerful resurrection, has made us holy, blameless, and without a single fault! Now, this is amazing, awesome, and simply incredible!!! Glory to God! Colossians 1:22,23; Hebrews 2:11-18; Romans 8:1-17.
Remember, your your absolute faith on these precious eternal promises is the master key to possessing this auspicious inheritance. So, keep the faith!
