Apologetics
"But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved." Matthew 23:13 King James Version, KJV.
This five-letter word is central to a man's attainment in life. So many people do not have time to consider the importance of this word and its synonyms.
Before I continue with this discussion, I want my beloved reader to pay attention to the truth that each of my writings is not based on sentiment or to put any child of God in the bondage of religion whatsoever.
However, as Christ's people, we cannot do but obey His commandments, no matter how hard it may be. The Holy Spirit is in His people to guide and help them to know and do the will of God.
Whenever we know the will of God and go in the way of the flesh, we are disobedient to Him. Jesus also makes us realize that "the Spirit is willing but the flesh is weak". Anytime the weakness of the flesh rears its ugly head, we should run to ( or rely on) the Holy Spirit to help us out.
Let me bring in the story of a seventy-five-year-old man here.
What happened?
He rehearsed it with his mouth in the first week of November twenty-twenty-three. His wife was his number one enemy. She was interested in eliminating him. This was not a prophetic revelation. She even told him one day that if he attempted to sleep in the house which he built, she would behead the man in the night. The man of God left that day to sleep in the house of another man of God. That was what saved the man.
Will it not be foolishness for him to sleep in his house that day? People of God need the wisdom of God by the leading of the Holy Spirit. He is a genuine man of God, yet when He needed to employ practical wisdom, he was not occupied with quoting the Scriptures that were not relevant to his situation. God guided him, he obeyed and he was saved.
Why did he continue to endure her? The Lord commanded him not to divorce or be separated from her. Both were the suggestions of people around him, including Ministers of God who love him but he chose to obey his God.
What was the end of the story? The Lord struck the woman with a protracted sickness until she breathed her last. Before she finally gave up the ghost, she begged her husband to forgive her for her atrocities against him. The man would reply that she did not offend him.
After waiting for five years, the Lord replaced the dead wife with a God-fearing, loving, and lovely woman.
Do you know that God has many ways of solving His people's problems? God does not rely on only one method to do this. The way the people of Israel crossed the Red Sea was different from the way they crossed the River Jordan; it is the same God.
Please, my beloved reader, bear in mind that each of my pieces is to help us as Pilgrim in our journey of life.
On this journey, we have many things to endure UNTIL the Lord brings out the results He plans for. It is not the person who begins or continues for a long season but he who endures it until the end that will be crowned or saved.
Beloved Pilgrim, endurance is part of your journey but walk and work with the Holy Spirit in you. Remain blessed and prepared for the coming of the Lord.
