I was lost
My heart was broken
Drowning in a bottle
nearly took my life away
Then one day
my eyes were opened
When the Father came
and wiped my tears away

I was saved that day
On my knees with my Bible
It was only God
who could take it all away
And every time I pray
I recall that day
I was filled with the Holy Spirit
My life is mine again
He took it away

On this walk
That I have chosen
I have slipped
And I did fall
But He is there
To lift me up again
Through His strength
I will stand tall

For I am saved today
On my knees with my Bible
And it’s only God
who can take it all away
And every time I pray
I recall that day
I was filled with the Holy Spirit
My life is mine again
He took it away
