Buck-passing and finger-pointing have always been with mankind. There is someone to blame but themselves for their bitter experience.

It takes maturity to claim full responsibility for your error and hard condition. This will help in searching to find a permanent solution to any of the problems that you have.

Sadly, people of God are grossly involved in this buck-passing business and this impairs their joy and progress. It is equally sad that many Christians do not know their rights and privileges in the Lord their God. They do not know that they have a right to rejoice in Him and before Him where there is fullness of joy.

This was the case with the brother of the Prodigal Son who refused to enter the house on the day of joy when the celebration took place. The cause of the rejoicing was the return home of his younger brother who was lost but found.

He was only interested in dwelling on the sins of his brother. Whereas, those sins have been forgiven him because he has also repented and returned home. He did not know this. He was also ignorant of all his entitlements in the house of his father. He was angry on the day of joy. He was sad when others were rejoicing. That is the plight of many Christians.

When he complained of his father's failure to give him a young goat to celebrate with his friends, the father's answer shocked him to the bone marrow. What was the reply?
"[31]Look, dear son, you have always stayed by me, and everything I have is yours." Luke 15:31 (New Living Translation NLT).

After his father's statement, he was speechless. He has no comment to make. That was the first time he knew that what his father owned belonged to him too.
He knew on that day that he was guilty of his poverty or inability to rejoice. The Lord wants His people to ask anything in his name and He is ready to give them especially when it is according to His will.

Do not engage yourself in destroying, belittling defaming what other people are rejoicing over. Ask for yours!

Beloved Pilgrim, cease to blame others for your negative circumstances. Know your rights and privileges in Jesus Christ and demand them from Him. He is ever ready to give you. Present your petition before Him, He will attend to your needs. Do not go in the way of the brother of the Prodigal Son. He was guilty of not rejoicing, rejoice in the Lord forever in Jesus' mighty name. Stay blessed and prepared for the imminent coming of the Lord.
