Home is where you hang your hat.

There was a time in the past when most men and women wore hats everywhere. It’s easy to visualize them returning home; entering their front door and hanging their hats on a convenient hat rack.

Christ followers call church home. Truck drivers spend many weeks on the road away from home and their local churches. My husband Norm was a cross-country truck driver and I went with him for several years.

We visited several churches along the way and both of us have memories of a particular church out west. We were amused to see a long row of cowboy hats in the church entrance. In reverence, men removed their hats as they gathered in their church home.

Do you worship regularly in a small congregation? Be encouraged: the Lord is in your midst!

"For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them (Matthew 18:20 KJV)."

Is a mega church your place to gather with other Christ followers? Though mega churches make headlines, they are 'not new.'

"Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls (Acts 2:41 KJV)."

Your house of worship might be mini, mid or mega sized. It matters not; worship and serve in his name.

"Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the LORD he is God (Psalm 100:2-3a KJV)."
