The Prophetic Significance of the War Against Jews

    What began as an attack on Israel by Hamas and Israel's retaliation has now escalated to a global attack on all Jews. It is now a war against the Jewish people. Things appear to be going in the direction of fulfilled prophecy. There are three Old Testament passages that, taken together, point to this, with very precise and specific wording. 
     Zechariah 12:1-5 contains two talking points that relate to the current situation. It says that Jerusalem will become "a cup of trembling and a burdensome stone" to the world. The second point is, "all the nations of the earth will gather against it." This is exactly what is happening! As I write this article, Jews around the world are literally being hunted down. When planes are landing loaded with Jews who are supposedly coming to a safe haven in other countries, to get away from the violence, they are being met with mobs of angry anti-Jewish protestors. College campuses are going after the Jews. Some businesses in Europe are refusing them. 
     Another prophetic passage in Ezekiel 38:5-6 says a coalition of nations will gather against Israel. Not only that, but Ezekiel 39:1-8 specifically says that nations will gather at the northern border of Israel. At this very moment, it is reported that Russia, Turkey, and Iran, all have military equipment and soldiers stationed there. More nations are yet to join this alliance. More accurately, this passage says they will go up against the mountains of Israel. There are mountains in northern Israel. Bible prophecy is very detailed!
     Zechariah 12:4-5 predicts God's victorious hand over the enemies of the Jews. This verse says, "Then the clans of Judah shall say to themselves, 'The inhabitants of Jerusalem have strength through the Lord of hosts, their God.'" Israel and Jerusalem will never be "wiped off the face of the earth" as their enemies have stated. It will still be around during the 1,000 reign of Jesus from Jerusalem.
