THE TURNING POINT!
God is always on the look out for people who're truly eager to worship, serve and obey him. Not, the nonchalant, self justified, satisfied and arrogant. And guess where He finds such desperately eager people?
Those who have failed and disappointed God terribly but, would do anything for a second or even a third chance, like the Abraham, Moses, Jacob, Joseph, David, Mary Magdalene, the Prodigal son, Zacchaeus, Peter and Paul the apostles, and then you and me. That's Grace, God's incredible power to pardon the condemned!
Now, our society would hardly tolerate such people, but God's not looking for righteous, perfect, flawless people, instead, He's looking out for SOLD OUT, ENTHUSIASTIC, GRATEFUL, THANKFUL, HUMBLE AND REPENTANT WORSHIPERS! For God knows, as we all should, that there are no completely righteous people anywhere!
1 John 1:8-10.
If we say we have no sin [refusing to admit that we are sinners], we delude ourselves and the truth is not in us. [His word does not live in our hearts.] If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just [true to His own nature and promises], and will forgive our sins and cleanse us continually from all unrighteousness [our wrongdoing, everything not in conformity with His will and purpose]. If we say that we have not sinned [refusing to admit acts of sin], we make Him [out to be] a liar [by contradicting Him] and His word is not in us.
Nevertheless, the kind of righteous and holy people God is desiring and searching for, are the TRULY REPENTANT people. The meek and lowly in heart, who tremble at God's Incredible Word! These are those who have their hearts after God's Kingdom, like David, His choice servant! They strive, crave and pave all ways to obey the Lord. When they fall, they admit it, REPENT WHOLEHEARTEDLY, get up and keep pressing forward to the prize of the high, eternal calling in Christ Jesus.
1 Peter 1:15,16.
But like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves in all your conduct [be set apart from the world by your godly character and moral courage]; because it is written, “You shall be holy (set apart), for I am holy.”
To God, ABSOLUTE OBEDIENCE is everything and it's the ultimate!
Consequently, REPENTANCE, which involves CONFESSING OUR SINS AND FORSAKING THEM, is the only pathway to absolute obedience.
Now, it's time to turn around and say NO to sin, and say YES to holiness, purity and chastity. Thereafter, get ready for an avalanche of blessings that should transform your life, family and generations unborn. Return to God and be tremendously blessed. Hallelujah! Isaiah 1:18,19; Jeremiah 7:22,23; Deuteronomy 28:1-14.
