Encouragement

all you who are weary and burdened,
and I will give you rest.”

Some days appear so ominous
and some are brighter than
the sun that shines above the earth,
as far as its rays span.

But when those days are threatening,
you might feel all alone.
Just know the Lord is with you, dear—
you’re never on your own.

Just lean on Him, my precious one,
and He will give you rest.
Trust that He can calm the storms
that made your life a mess.

O’ call on Him, beloved one,
and He will grant you peace.
He’ll calm the storms surrounding you—
with one word they will cease.

“You have been a refuge for the poor,
a refuge for the needy in their distress,
a shelter from the storm.”
(Isaiah 25: 4, NIV)
