It's as though when Jesus walked into the temple the Pharisees and scribes said over and over again in unison, "Well, look what the cat dragged in!" At which point Jesus scatched his head thoughtfully and replied, "Well, I've never before heard the Holy Spirit referred to as a cat....."
These were some of the same Pharisees who would later exclaim to Jesus inside their minds before the woman taken in adultery ,"Get up, stand up! This is no time to be playing jn the dirt! Answer our question! Stand up like a man and face us! Why are you writing in that dirt?
It's as though Jesus was calmly answering and saying, "I'm rewriting the story of the life of the one who believes in me.
