The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit and life. John 6:63 NIV
The flesh counts for nothing in eternity. That should be obvious in that the flesh passes away from this earth and goes to the grave. The spirit is all that moves on to eternal life. For the spirit to move on to eternity with God, the human spirit must be filled with God’s Spirit, the Holy Spirit, given as a gift by the Father to those who accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. The Spirit of God and He alone gives true life to the human spirit. He wakes the human spirit from it being dead, dead to true life.
