What Actually Is “Climate Change”
by, Stephen Gola
“Climate change” is the cry of the earth in sever pain under the weight of corruption resulting from man’s sin.
Climate change had a starting-date: when the first man ate from the Tree of The Knowledge of Good and Evil—the first rebellion. The earth’s climate and systems were at peace and in synergy until that point.
Climate change is not a separate system from man’s immoral and rebellious behavior against God, but a direct consequence of it. The bottom-line is, climate change is a direct result of man’s sin.
The earth’s systems are writhing in pain under the weight of man’s rebellion against God.
Romans 8:19-22 explains that the earth is alive and “that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs (climate change and other natural disasters) together (from the time of the fall of man) until now” (v22). But the creation also has an earnest expectation—eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God” (v19). Why? “Because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God” (v21).
Man’s sin against God is what plunged the earth’s systems into turmoil creating natural disasters and climate change. And it will be the righteousness of God through man which will deliver it and set its systems aright.
Climate change started by sinful man, and climate change will end by righteous man.
