“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above,
and cometh down from the Father of lights.”
(James 1:17, KJV)

One day while I was walking,
I found a winding trail.
Its beauty was astounding—
perfection was detailed.

And as I traveled onward
a peace came over me,
it moved within my spirit
so ever joyfully.

‘Twas then my ears heard something—
I turned my head to see—
an alluring waterfall
cascading gracefully.

I stood there in amazement
and listened to its sounds—
in awe of every movement
of water splashing down.

The scenery was refreshing—
I truly felt renewed.
It was exhilarating—
a peaceful, calming view.

I thanked the Lord, our Father,
for blessing me this day,
and praised Him for the gift
that He had sent my way.
