. For now, at least, we live in a world where so many of the sheep lack a Shepherd and so many of the shepherds lack sheep. For now at least too many of the kingdoms lack the King and so many kings lack a kingdom, and therefore a purpose. 

 Wherever there is depth of peace and serenity, and harmony of relationships, it poses a threat to the ruler of this world who thrives most in turmoil and conflict. It seems that whenever such a threat is posed, a countermeasure is immediately launched to disrupt the peace, or serenity or harmony that has begun to be established. 

  So for now, at least, our sweets are tinged, and leave a bitter aftertaste, and our joys are mingled with sorrow, and our mercies can be stern ones; and all of this to wean us from the ways of this world, in preparation for a far better place where no such alloys exist, only allies......allies who also become best of friends.
