Your ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness, yet they died. But here is the bread that comes down from heaven, which anyone may eat and not die. John 6:49-50 NIV

Just as the body needs nourishment from food to keep existing, it also needs the bread which came down from heaven in order that the spirit within may live. How does one eat the bread which comes down from heaven? The scribes, Pharisees, and teachers of the law had no answer to this question. We eat the bread from heaven by accepting Jesus Christ into our lives, just as we accept food into our body. The bread from heaven helps to change us on the inside. We must obey that which we are told, and let the Holy Spirit live within us. Accept the bread which has come down from heaven.
