Faith

Do with me, as You will,
Teach me what I need to know. 
I am open and vulnerable 
Through my faith in You.

Indeed, I have made many errors, 
Most likely, I will continue to do so. 
Not that I want to, but I am only human.

I tried walking in Your shoes.
Grave mistake,
I ought to have been following You instead.

Pleasing people plagued me.
Until I realised I didn't have to!
The only person I needed to please was You.

Do with me as You will,
I've worn the crown of thorns,
I've been resurrected many times over
Because of Your forgiveness. 

I have carried my own cross,
I accepted birth and death
As many do, of their loved ones.

Through my mind, I converse with You.
Some call it prayer,
I call it telepathy.

You live in my heart,
Not in some remote place
They call Heaven.

You have always inspired me
To grow, to achieve, to know
Me in the most intimate way.

You call, I answer.
Now I am calling You,
To teach me what I need to know.
