- God, is there glory for us as we follow Your Son Jesus?
- That is an honest question, and I am so glad you asked! The answer is that this is not about your glory.
As vast as the universe is, there is room in it for only One glory. The moment that human beings grasp any of that glory for themselves....the universe becomes instantly overcrowded!

(Psalm 115 v1)

You are correct that we should not try to grasp our own glory. Perhaps I don't understand your message clearly. Are you saying that you resist our taking any praise that belongs to God? I certainly agree with that.

We do, however, grow from "Glory to glory." The light and liberty of Christ are transforming. Christians may all be changed more into the likeness of Christ as we learn, pray, and grow in grace. With this, and because we have access to the Lord's presence through his spirit, we become more like Him and do change from glory to glory. We actually become glory - God manifested in us, which brings him praise because others see God when they look at us, like his reflection. That is beautiful.

(2 Corinthians 3:17, 18 NIV) "Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 18 And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit."

Also, verse 18 in the KJV: "But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord."

Thank you for reminding us that God is to be praised above all.
