Luke 18:1-8 (KJV)  And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;
Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man:
And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.
And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;
Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.
And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith.
And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?
I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

If I were to leave you with a thought, it would simply be: will the Son of man find faith. Be faithful in prayer.

As a believer in Jesus Christ, we must live a life of persistent prayer. Prayer is your direct line of communication between you and God. Prayer is what causes things to change in your life. The Book of James tells us that the effectual fervent prayers of a righteous man availeth much.

The church is in need of men who are willing to pray. Not just sometimes, but all the time. People are dealing with circumstances and situations that require prayer. There are some things that you just can't do on your own. No matter what connections you have in business, no matter how much money you have in your account, prayer is the only thing you got.

When all else fails and they will, you can open up your mouth and pray to the Lord. God will hear your prayer, God will deliver you in a time of need.

Have you ever been rescued by the Lord. And before your mind could even catch up to it, the Lord already answered your prayer. God is in the prayer answering business. But it's according to God's timing and the way God chooses to answer your prayer.

Will the Son of Man find faith. Not just any faith, but the faith that moves God.

Hebrews 11:6 says:  But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Are you diligently seeking the Lord. Are you diligently persistent in prayer. We must be persistent in prayer and persistent in fasting.

So the scripture says men ought always to pray and not faint.

No matter what's going on in your life, keep on praying until something happens.

We must be like the widow that troubled the unjust judge. As we continue to come to God, the Lord will deliver us from the adversary.

In closing,

2 Timothy 3:1-7 (KJV)  This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

That's exactly what we're seeing today. People are not going to church as they used to, and some of the saints of God are not praying as they ought to pray.

As time goes on, people are becoming weaker in faith. They're relying on what politicians are doing instead of relying on what Jesus said.

Will the Son of man find faith. Be faithful in prayer. Jesus asks this question because when he returns, faith is going to be rare. As believers in christ, we must be prayerful and have in God. The more trust we put in man, the less faith we have in God. May the Lord add a blessing to the reading of his word. Amen.
