God never wastes anything. Everything in nature is put back to use. Is put back to good use. Everything serves a purpose. Even the precious human body is biodegradable and is recycled. God wastes nothing!

Yes, even pain is not wasted in God’s kingdom. It’s used for a good cause. Actually, pain can be the very tool the creator uses for a greater purpose. Sometimes, the very loving God allows heavy hand in our lives. Suffering could serve him a purpose. A purpose of shaping us towards looking more like him. It could help to purify us.

When you think of it, diamond is only an ordinary stone that suffered a lot of heat and pressure, a lot of pain!

Our God sustains the universe and every life in it. He also oversees a precious-stone making factory. The name of the factory is suffering, the process is purification, the ingredients are time (a lot of it), pressure, heat, the product - Diamond.

While I don’t have the maturity to tell you to count it as pure joy, I will say this - hang-in-there, Try to hang-in-there until he sees himself in you, until the potters hands are off the clay.

When you are in that dark place where the wheel of injustice screams the loudest -hang in there!

When it happens again and again to you, as if something strange is at work- it’s because he is at work, hang in there!
When you are at your weakest, when the only word you can utter is tear through your eyes, hang in there!

Remember the one who endured the cruel cross. His father never wasted his suffering. That pain is what saved the world.

Our God never wastes a pain. Your pain is not in vain! All it means is that he saw a precious stone in you.

We do not understand it, but emotional or physical, God will never waste our pain. Somehow it all works together for good. It takes many of us years to understand that He is at work in the difficulty, moulding and shaping us. I love the bit that talks about when the potter takes his hands off of the clay.

You bring out well that the process to maturity is often through some kind of suffering. Indeed, when we are at our weakest, He pours in the grace we need to make us strong.

I also like the honesty in the article. It takes a lot to hang on to joy in suffering. There is a point where you will not ever let the devil steal your joy but most of us take a long time to get to it.
