Our calling as believers was called a "holy calling " by the Apostle Paul (2 Timothy 1 v9) because it is a call to holiness. Seems simple enough. Holiness is the beauty produced by God's creative workmanship in us. But this beautiful holiness is not a holiness for its own sake But, rather, it is a holiness to make us compatible with God Who is holy. It is a holiness to make us compatible with God in an eternal relationship. "O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness, " cried the psalmist. (Psalm 96 v9)
