As Peter and John went to the temple during the 3 pm hour of prayer in Jerusalem after the Day of Pentecost, a beggar, who was lame from birth, asked for charity from those entering the temple. Peter told the beggar they did not have money to give, but offered a better alternative.

Peter commanded the lame man to walk in the name of Jesus. After pulling him up, the man realized he was healed and could walk for the first time. Overjoyed, he entered the temple with Peter and John, walking, leaping, and praising God.

Having just witnessed a miracle, the people in the temple were blown away. Peter used the opportunity to urge his hearers to repent of their sins and believe in the Lord Jesus, whom they had previously rejected and condemned to death. About 5,000 of those who heard Peter's message believed in him.

In response to Peter's and the apostles' continued preaching that Jesus has risen from the dead and that forgiveness of sin is only possible through faith in Him, Jewish religious authorities threatened, imprisoned, flogged, and killed them. Nevertheless, they refused to back down, saying:

Rather than obeying men, we should obey God. God raised Jesus, who you hanged on a cross. He was exalted to His right hand as a Savior and Prince, granting repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins. It is we who are witnesses to these things, as well as the Holy Spirit, who He has given to those who obey Him (Acts 5:29-32).

"There is salvation in no one else; for no other name has been given among men by which we must be saved." (Acts 4:12)

Gamaliel, an esteemed elder of the Sanhedrin, just managed to persuade the religious rulers to take a wait-and-see stance for the time being in response to the apostles' message.

As a result of telling the truth about Jesus and their involvement in His death, the gospel message was considered hate speech by the high priest, elders, and scribes.

As a result of being considered worthy of suffering for His name, the apostles continued undeterred in preaching the way, the truth, and the life of Jesus Christ (John 14:6) with joy. In spite of the efforts of the religious authorities to censor and cancel the proclamation of the gospel, the apostles' courage and perseverance led to the salvation of many, to God's glory.

In the present day, narratives are promoted by compelling individuals and organizations that invert reality in order to accomplish specific agendas. In order to label anything against their current propaganda as misinformation, disinformation, or hate speech, these powerful entities collaborate with the government, big tech, big media, the largest banks, international institutions, and multinational corporations.

Once these worldwide collaborators label something as hate speech, they will often force people to remain silent by using intimidation tactics like censoring social media accounts, attacking through high-profile media outlets, disrupting finances, and even going so far as to use governmental power to bankrupt or imprison dissidents. This all too often culminates in the elimination of individuals; an example of this is Stephen who was persecuted by religious leaders in Israel for proclaiming the gospel (Acts 6-7).

In his hatred of God and His creation, particularly human beings, the father of lies, Satan, attempts to destroy humanity by destroying nuclear families, promoting moral relativism, splintering society, committing infanticide (abortion), infertility, euthanasia, and depopulating the planet.

To prevent as many people as possible from being reconciled to God through Jesus Christ, he does this in order to ensure they join him in the lake of fire (Revelation 20:7-10). To assist in this effort, he controls some of the world's most influential people and organizations through his rulers, powers, and principalities (Ephesians 6:12).

Through the medical industry, education, entertainment industry, and other mass media outlets, the devil promotes transgenderism. Sexual grooming aimed at children is meant to confuse them about their immutable biological and binary nature and get them to undergo permanent genital mutilation and hormone treatments to supposedly change their sex, often resulting in sterility, mental instability, depression, and death.

When people speak out against this evil agenda to protect children, they often face censorship, de-platforming, and other sanctions. It is common for schools, the media, and the medical industry to indoctrinate children in order to turn them away from God, hate themselves, and hate those who do not conform to their unreality.

The anger and outrage experienced by the citizens of Sodom toward Lot was indicative of their reprehensible behavior. In a similar vein, many upon confronting the fact that they are rebelling against God choose to attack themselves or those around them. A harrowing example of this is the shooting that happened on March 237, 2023 in Nashville, TN at a Christian school. The murderer who was living as a man opened fire and killed six people, including three small children who were only nine years old. This atrocity and its consequences serves as a harsh reminder of what can happen when one rejects God's Word.

In Orlando, Florida, Franklin Graham delivered the keynote address at the National Religious Broadcasters convention on May 22, 2023. According to him, big corporations will erect barriers to Christian organizations in the business, insurance, banking, and technology fields as we continue to live in an increasingly cancel culture. In spite of increasingly difficult circumstances, he challenged them to take steps to defend themselves while continuing to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Despite the cultural revolution of the LGBTQ agenda (sodomy combined with Marxism), we should tell those involved in this sinful lifestyle the truth of freedom and salvation in Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 6:9-11). Graham urged his listeners:

They will try to silence you if you preach the gospel. Preach - don't back down, don't apologize. Just tell the truth.

Despite the apparent power of society's rulers and their attempts to suppress the truth, their plans will crumble before God's.

According to Psalm 33:10-11, the LORD nullifies the counsel of the nations, He frustrates the plans of the peoples.

During a time when cancel culture was prevalent, God granted the apostles of Christ unwavering faith and courage to spread the gospel. Neither the Jewish religious authorities nor the Roman government could suppress or detain the gospel. As a result, we have received the gift of eternal life by believing in the gospel through their efforts. Even though cancel culture existed during their time, the apostles of Christ were steadfast and courageous in spreading the gospel, thanks to God's guidance. Neither Jewish religious leaders nor the Roman government could hinder or imprison the gospel's message. We are fortunate to have received eternal life by believing in the gospel, which was made possible by their hard work and God's blessings.

That should encourage us to proclaim the gospel no matter what obstacles stand between us and eternal life for many today and in the future.

It is truly remarkable how the apostles of Christ were able to preach the gospel with such faithfulness and boldness in the face of cancel culture. No matter who tried to cancel or imprison the gospel, whether it was the Jewish religious authorities or the Roman government, it remained unstoppable. We are so blessed to be the beneficiaries of God's work through the gospel, which gives us eternal life. Let us never forget the sacrifices made by those who came before us so that we may enjoy the freedom of faith today.
