Deceitfulness of Wealth

The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful. Matthew 13:22 NIV

Most of us at times seem to be overwhelmed by the worries of our lives. We don’t know what to do at times because we don’t have an answer to our worries. Christ is the answer. We need to give our worries over to Him and trust in Him to provide. Wealth is a different story. Wealth is very deceitful. Most who have wealth crave more wealth. It becomes a desire of the heart. This makes it very difficult for the message of God to be at the center of the heart. Having wealth of itself does not make one enslaved to it but wealth is very deceiving in what it can do to the mind and heart. Do not let yourself be deceived by material wealth.
