Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. Matthew 10:28 NIV
Many who fear death actually fear the unknown. What does it mean for the soul to be destroyed with the body? Does not the soul live forever? Yes, I believe it does. But, if the soul is eternally separated from God and in a pit of fire forever, that soul would rather be totally dead and not have to face eternal torment. So, one should not fear one that can destroy the body, but rather fear the One who can send the soul into eternal torment. Share the Word of God. Live in the Lord.
