God’s Incredible Love

God’s love is incredible. No other love comes close to the one God gives. He never stops loving us. This truth hasn’t changed even when Adam and Eve fell from His grace.

The Old Testament shows God’s great love. He used Prophets to express His compassionate heart. One of God’s most remarkable expressions of love was the parting of the Red Sea (Exodus 14:21). He led His people out of captivity and paved the way for their escape. There are many other illustrations of His love in the Old Testament.

But God’s most excellent demonstration of love is the sacrifice of Christ. The New Testament shows a love beyond our comprehension. It’s hard to fathom that God loves us enough to offer His Son’s life. He did, and for this reason, He saved us from eternal damnation.

Today’s scripture:

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16, NIV)
