Thank God, he's gained an eternal perspective
He no longer settles for a shallow objective
Faithful to his sacred vow
He looks beyond the here and now
To God's truth, his heart is open and receptive

Oh no! he's lost his eternal perspective
He just settles for a shallow objective
Focused on the here and now
Unfaithful to his sacred vow
To God's truth, he's become unreceptive


So above all, constantly seek God’s kingdom and his righteousness, then all these less important things will be given to you abundantly. (Matthew 6:33)

Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is. (Ephesians 5:15-17)
