Alone Time With God Jane H. Young
I love that old hyman “I Come To The Garden Alone”
I come to the garden alone
While the dew is still on the roses
And the voice I hear falling on my ear
The Son of God discloses.
And He walks with me, and He talks with me,
And He tells me I am His own;
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other has ever known.
It doesn't matter if it's five minutes, ten minutes, are longer as long as you make time for God. What time of day you spend with God isn’t important either, just as long as it's a time when you have set aside just for Him. Time with God every day should take priority over checking you text or email, time where you say, "God, is there something you want me to do today, anything you want to tell or show me?" Is there someone that I can help or witness to today. Use me today Lord I am available.
You need to take time to sit and be quiet so you can hear what God may want to say. Spend a few minutes in your Bible, let God speak to you through scripture. Maybe talk about whatever is worrying you, unload your burdens, and listen for God's direction. Take time to thank Him for your many blessings.
“But as for me, my prayer is to You, O Lord, at an acceptable time; O God, in the greatness of Your lovingkindness, Answer me with Your saving truth.” Psalms 69:13 NASB1995
Prayer: Father I am thankful that I can talk to you anytime day or night. Guide my steps as I go through this day and help the words that come out of my mouth, be seasoned with love and compassion. While you are helping everyone else Father, I hope you have a great day as well.
