A pen in my hand,

The empty page,

An endless sea of white before me,

A hundred thoughts rotate in my mind,

No one will read it,

Who cares,

Why even try,

It won’t make one lick of difference,

Nobody wants to listen to what you have to say anyway,

You’ve been sitting for one hour and you’ve only written one sentence,

The words will never flow,

You’ve lost your touch,

It’s even worse than the last one,

You should give up now,

I take a breath,

And pray,

Lord, help me to write,

This gift I give to you,

So I lift my hand,

And muster the courage to write,

My first word.
