We must never forget that Jesus, Son of God also lived as the Son of Mary.

His first words were likely Da-Da and Ma-Ma in His native language. He respected Mary and loved her as any boy raised in a godly home.

Those unsure of his authority referred to Him as the Son of Mary.

Jesus came to seek and save the lost.

As He fulfilled His mission through His crucifixion, Jesus thought of others.

He promised a place in paradise for a thieve hanging at His side, and offered forgiveness for those who nailed Him to the cross.

As a loving child, Jesus felt great compassion and concern for His mother.

“When Jesus therefore saw His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing by, He said to His mother, ‘Woman, behold your son!’ Then He said to the disciple, ‘Behold your mother!’ And from that hour that disciple took her to his own home (John 19:26-27 NKJV).”

Jesus left behind no great material wealth.

He entrusted Disciple John with the great treasure of His mother; Mary.
