As you draw near to God, and as people and moments become more precious to you, exactly as the materials in the tabernacle in the the wilderness grew more expensive as you approached the Holy of Holies, don't be surprised if you scare some people away.  Some people, in fact, most people are not accustomed to thinking of themselves as precious, or of their time as being that valuable.  Don't be caught off guard if you are misunderstood.  It's simply part of the territory you are entering as you draw near. Jesus, after all, was probably the most misunderstood person who ever lived.
