The Fool = Psalm 14;1, Proverbs 26;11, Luke 24;25-27

 

  

Psalm 14;1

The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

 

Psalm 107:17

Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted.

 

Proverbs 1:7

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

 

Proverbs 9:13

A foolish woman is clamorous: she is simple, and knoweth nothing.

 

Proverbs 10:18

He that hideth hatred with lying lips, and he that uttereth a slander, is a fool.

 

Proverbs 10:23

It is as sport to a fool to do mischief: but a man of understanding hath wisdom.

 

Proverbs 12:15

The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.

 

Proverbs 14:7

Go from the presence of a foolish man, when thou perceivest not in him the lips of knowledge.

 

Proverbs 14:9

Fools make a mock at sin: but among the righteous there is favour.

 

Proverbs 15:2

The tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright: but the mouth of fools poureth out foolishness.

 

Proverbs 17:21

He that begetteth a fool doeth it to his sorrow: and the father of a fool hath no joy.

 

Proverbs 18:7

A fool's mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul.

 

Proverbs 23:9

Speak not in the ears of a fool: for he will despise the wisdom of thy words.

 

Proverbs 26:11

As a dog returneth to his vomit, so a fool returneth to his folly.

 

Luke 24;25-27

Then He said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken: Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into His glory? And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, He expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning Himself.
