PROMOTION 
SCRIPTURE Psalm 75:5-7(KVJ)
  -5 Lift not up your horn on high: speak not with a stiff neck.
  -6 For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.
  -7 But God is the judge: he putteth(puts) down one, and setteth(sets) up another. 

OBSERVATION by verses
The Psalmist is is talking to a person perhaps who was promoted or was passed over in a Promotion.  We are told that:
-75:5 IF we are the one promoted, we should not make it known(with your horn).
          Or brag( speak with a stiff neck).
-75:6 IF we are the one who is passed by we should remember that God does the promoting not people.
-75: 7 The Judge decides who gets demoted and is replaced by another.

APPLICATION
The Book of Proverbs is filled with symbols. “Symbols Evoke Profound Emotions And Memories—At A Very Primal Level Of Our Being —Often Without Our Making Rational Or Conscious Connections.   1. If I want to understand Scripture, I should do a study on SYMBOLS.
  2. Scriptures are found in conditional and unconditional statements. Some things will happen because God is God.  Other things will never happen until you do part. Your surrender, your agreement, your cooperation is something that only you can do.
PRAYERS
Jesus,
   You are the Lover of my soul. You are the Author and Finisher of my faith. I now, understand a little of your thoughts and your ways. I surrender my soul to you Jesus.
