Your prayers Are Not In Vain

Philippians 4:6-7 (KJV) Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

If I were to leave you with a word of encouragement, it would simply be: your prayers are not in vain. 

There is power in the name of Jesus and there is power in your prayers. The devil doesn't want us to fast and he certainly doesn't want us to pray. Our spiritual growth and maturity is dependent on how we live and it is also dependent on our prayer life.

There are times in our lives where it seems as if God is not there. There are times in our lives where it seems as if God doesn't hear our voice.

Maybe you lost your job and the Bills are overdue. Perhaps your children are living a life of crime and are now strung out, on drugs.

Maybe your marriage is on the brink of breakup and is coming to an end. You're walking the floor day and night speaking unto the Lord. It seems like the more you pray, the more nothing happens.

The more you pray, it seems as if things are getting worse. But no matter what it looks like, God almighty is able. He's able to heal the sick. He's able to give peace to the broken heart. He's able to give rest to the weary. He's able to give strength to the weak. He's able to give sight to the blind. He's able to make crippled walk. He's able to put miracle money in your bank account. He's able to do exceedingly and abundantly above all that we ask and all that we think. God almighty is able.

 First Peter 3:12 says, For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil. We must approach the Lord in righteousness and holiness not in unrighteousness which is evil.

As I stand before you, I stand by the grace and mercies of the living God. The Lord hears our prayers. God knows what we need before we even ask him.

Every problem, every challenge, every difficulty, God already knows. The question is, do we believe that he knows. God knows how many hairs you have on your head. God knows all and He sees all. He the God that never sleeps nor slumbers.

God is with us when we're happy and God is with us when we're sad. God is with us during the good times and God is with us during the bad. The bible tells us that God will never leave us nor forsake us.

It's important to realize that God's ways are not our ways and God's timing is not our own.

Sometimes we get discouraged because things are not happening fast enough for us or things are not going according to how we expect things to go. But the Lord has everything in control. No matter how chaotic our lives may be, God is in control.

Your life is important to God. How you live, how you take care of yourself, is important to God. Your prayers are not in vain. If you could write that down and commit it to memory, your prayers are not in vain. God can hear billions of saints praying to him at the same time and distinguish each prayer. God is a God of intimacy: closeness or familiarity. He sticks closer than a brother.

The bible tells us in the book of Isaiah 26:3: Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

When you take your mind off God and put it on your problems, your problems have a way of becoming bigger. I know this from personal experience. This is not always easy but it can be done. God is bigger than our problems and He's bigger than any solution we could ever think of.

Luke 18:1 says men ought always to pray and not to faint.

If you don't pray, what else are you gonna do. What's the alternative. Prayers don't always materialize overnight. If it's the Lord's will to bring a particular prayer to manifestation, he will usually bring it to pass over time. If not, he will give you the grace to go through. 

It is a blessing to be able to communicate with the God who created heaven and earth. While the world serves gods who can't see nor hear, we serve the God who does it all.
